To cultivate a skilled and competitive workforce which meets
the needs of employers in the region.
The Bay Workforce Development Area (Bay WDA Region #5) is led by an eleven-county consortium called the Local Elected Official’s Board (the “LEO Board”). The LEO Board is the governing unit and legal representative body of the Bay Area Workforce Development Board (“Bay Area WDB”). Board directors are appointed by the LEO Board to lead the activities of the Executive Director and Board staff.
Our leadership team is comprised of experts in workforce development, economic development, training, education, public policy, human resources, business management, and strategic development. Bay Area WDB directors bring their expertise and target investments to effectively align the needs of job seekers and employers. Our focus on collaboration drives well-rounded, strategic solutions for a better local economy. Meetings are open to the public.
